Folx at the Association for Air Force Missileers had an idea to share their collective collection of thousands of missile-related patches, and their related stories throughout missile/service related history.
Continuing to grow, this gallery illustrates over 6,0000 patches from virtually every organization that ever produced missile-related insignia. Such information not only preserves their unique history, but also enriches the viewing experience. And now, I invite you look, read, and enjoy your journey through this gallery!
Drekar Meadery is a local custom honey-wine brewery and a small business in my community, who happens to be run by great humans. Brewed in the heart of Colorado Springs with the finest local honey, each sip of their mead transports you back to a time of legendary feasts and epic tales. I hoped my murals surrounding the space would build an atmosphere of wonder.
This first mural was inspired by the viking theme of the tasting hall, the sea and the earthly magic that is the northern lights. I hope you visit the mead hall and enjoy my art, and a glass of Freyr's Sail. The second, a viking battle inspired swamp scene. The second mural overcoming a battle, and moving forward.
I did go to a local High School for two years, and with a class of three students (shown below) the mural below came to be. With the support of the greatest Art teacher a person could want. The idea of this mural was a group effort, but I did influence the Lego aspect of the design.
This mural still exists on the wall, to my knowledge, and commemorates our graduation year with a few of the greatest cultural, and artistic influences at that time. Combining the Dali, Persistence of Memory with Scream, and Starry Night round-out the design allowing us to complete the painting with our own focus. My paint style can be found in this early interpretation of the starry sky, and incorporating a consistency with the texture of Lego pieces in the sky.
I had an idea, and the only way to remove ideas from my head sometimes is to execute them to the best (or not-so-best) of my ability! Weird Al is one of my favorite artists, and I was inspired by a recent conversation to create the video embedded to the left....
So - I present a "Hello, it's IT" in the tune of Hello by Adele. I hope you enjoy it!
